A struggling engineering student. Frustrated cardiologist. Real pig when it comes to food. No plans for future..yet, still secretly dreaming of becoming a doctor and a chef.

musingofawanderer:

I love visiting my dad’s hometown during summer. Sobrang blue at presko ng paligid. Sobrang liblib kaya di uso ang high tech na gamit. Everyone knows almost all the people in town. Plus, less than 10 min away ang beach at sobrang lilinis ng mga sapa. :)
The one-hour road trip from Naga City is definitely worth it.

—i had to share to this. This is PURE GENIUS! I wish I could come here someday soon. Maybe “musingofawanderer” can tour me around,eh? :]

Just stumbled upon this while just browsing for what, nothing.. This gif is taken from the music video of Paradise by the oh-so-genius, my favorite band Coldplay. Here’s the lyrics of the song taken from the album Mylo Xyloto
When she was just a girl She expected the world But it flew away from her reach so She ran away in her sleep And dreamed of Para-para-paradise, Para-para-paradise, Para-para-paradise Every time she closed her eyes When she was just a girl She expected the world But it flew away from her reach And the bullets catch in her teeth Life goes on, it gets so heavy The wheel breaks the butterfly Every tear a waterfall In the night the stormy night she’ll close her eyes In the night the stormy night away she’d fly And dreams of Para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise Oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh-oh She’d dream of Para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise Oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh-oh-oh La-la-la-la-la-la-la La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la And so lying underneath those stormy skies She’d say, “oh, ohohohoh I know the sun must set to rise” This could be Para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise This could be Para-para-paradise Oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh-oh This could be Para-para-paradise Para-para-paradise This could be Para-para-paradise Oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh-oh-oh
That’s just it. A lot of people have already theories what does this song really meant. In my own interpretation, it simply means that a young person, referred in this song as the she, had once expected the world to be really good place, a place where there is full of love, just like a paradise. Eventually, as she grew up, she found that the world that she knew is not the place she had always expected it to be. ended up waking to the reality, in this song it is referred as the “bullet” in her teeth. It transparently indicates that she was hurt, because the life got so heavy but eventually got up and fought for her life. In the very end of the song, she still dreamed of having that so called paradise as she went to sleep…
The moral implication of the song had really struck me for I was once upon a time that young girl. I’ve always dreamed of being happy and successful in life. I have a family that I can be really proud of and I pretty have much of everything.Apparently, things have changed as I grew older and I disturbingly found the realities of life that waited me ahead, like being in college and even organizing some events. I get so stressed up all the time due to this responsibilities that constantly inhales all of my energy, leaving me usually wasted. Looking back, I never thought that I can do these things because I actually grew up really sheltered by my parents. But now, I am studying here in the metro and I have to decide and do all things by myself without anyone telling me what to do nor say. The point is, I’ve grown up and there’s a hell lot to do more in the future. These stuff that I am continuously doing are just the challenges I have to conquer for me to become a really good person. A lot would become factors would prevent us from doing great things but it’s really up to ourselves if we end up letting others get in our way. It’s in the way on how you would cope with those obstacles. I myself does dream of really beautiful things for my future. Before I close my eyes, I usually pray that I would have a really good dream. Like that one in paradise.

When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach so
She ran away in her sleep
And dreamed of
Para-para-paradise, Para-para-paradise, Para-para-paradise
Every time she closed her eyes

When she was just a girl
She expected the world
But it flew away from her reach
And the bullets catch in her teeth
Life goes on, it gets so heavy
The wheel breaks the butterfly
Every tear a waterfall
In the night the stormy night she’ll close her eyes
In the night the stormy night away she’d fly

And dreams of
Para-para-paradise
Para-para-paradise
Para-para-paradise
Oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh-oh
She’d dream of
Para-para-paradise
Para-para-paradise
Para-para-paradise
Oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh-oh-oh

La-la-la-la-la-la-la
La-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la-la
And so lying underneath those stormy skies
She’d say, “oh, ohohohoh I know the sun must set to rise”

This could be
Para-para-paradise
Para-para-paradise
This could be
Para-para-paradise
Oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh-oh
This could be
Para-para-paradise
Para-para-paradise
This could be
Para-para-paradise
Oh oh oh oh oh oh-oh-oh-oh

—Found this somewhere. I think Im gonna do this. :D

Oh simple thing, where have you gone? I’m getting tired and I need something to rely on.

This was just one of the lyric found in this amazing song. I decided to do a cover of it just to see for myself how will I do covering it. It’s not that good, I know. But, it’s just that the lyrics are deeply inspiring. Some people call this a love song, but for me, it’s a song seeking for something that has been long lost due to some happening. The writer is longing for it, maybe desperate on having it back to his life, I don’t know. Life gets so complicated a tons of times and so we tend to find comfort on the simple things that, unfortunately, have been long gone…
